The Organization of American Historians sponsors or cosponsors awards, prizes, fellowships and grants given in recognition of scholarly and professional achievements in the field of American history. The awards and prizes are presented during the OAH annual meeting.
The deadlines listed refer to the dates by which each award or prize committee member should receive a copy of the submission to be considered. Final page proofs may be used for books to be published after the deadline for each book award and before January 1 of the following year. If a final page proof is submitted, a bound copy of the entry must be submitted no later than January 7 of the year in which the award or prize is given. No late submissions will be accepted.
