2009 OAH BINKLEY-STEPHENSON AWARD
Home The Binkley-Stephenson Award, first given in 1967, is an annual award of $500 for the best scholarly article published in The Journal of American History during the preceding calendar year (March, June, September, December issues). William C. Binkley was president of the OAH 1944-1946 and editor of The Journal of American History 1956-1963. Wendell H. Stephenson was OAH president 1957-1958 and editor of The Journal of American History, 1946-1953.  The committee members are:
