Edwin G. Burrows, Broeklundian Professor of History at Brooklyn College, CUNY, and Fellow of the Society of American Historians, is an authority on the history of New York City and the coauthor of Gotham: A History of New York City to 1898 (1999), winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Dyckman House Museum in Manhattan, he has served as a consultant for a variety of public and private organizations and has been an on-camera commentator for documentaries aired by the BBC and the History Channel. His latest book is Forgotten Patriots: American Prisoners in the Revolutionary War (forthcoming, 2008). Lecture topics:
