Andrew J. Huebner is an associate professor of history at the University of Alabama, specializing in war and society in the United States during the twentieth century. He is the author of The Warrior Image: Soldiers in American Culture from the Second World War to the Vietnam Era (2008). His work has appeared in academic journals including the Journal of American History, Film and History, The Sixties, American Studies, and Journalism History. With Alan Brinkley and John Giggie, he is also a coauthor of the textbook The Unfinished Nation (8th edition, 2016). He is currently finishing a book on World War I and the American family, entitled "Love and Death in the Great War: America's Fight for Home and Nation" (forthcoming spring 2018).
