1) Aren't we politicizing the organization by taking this stand (i.e., moving the meeting out of the Adam's Mark Hotel because of charges of racial discrimination against it)?

Making this decision was difficult. Any position we could have taken regarding this issue would have been a political stance; to do nothing would have been a political statement. Moving the meeting was the only way to save it and not inflict financial damage on the organization. Many individual members, as well as non-members and exhibitors, indicated they would not attend a conference held at the Adam's Mark.
