The St. Louis Meeting Updated 20 March 2000, 12:45 EST
7) What is the OAH doing to ensure that the disabled have access to the 2000 meeting? Accommodating differently-abled members and other conference participants is a top priority. We are arranging for shuttle service between venues. And we plan to make available golf carts and drivers for those who find it difficult to walk on campus. OAH staff have visited Saint Louis University to check arrangements, including the accessibility of each building and paths between buildings. The distances are short; the amount of walking won't be much different than in the large convention hotels that we typically use. Be sure to check the OAH website for a map of the Saint Louis University campus. If you are unable to walk or have difficulty doing so and wish assistance while on the Saint Louis campus, or if you have other questions, please contact the OAH staff at feedback@oah.org, or call us at 812-855-7311. |
