From the North: Take Interstate 35 south directly into Ames.

From the South: Take Interstate 35 north through Des Moines directly into Ames.

From the East: Take Interstate 80 to Des Moines and interstate 35 north to Ames.

From the West: Take Interstate 80 into Des Moines. Interstates 80 and 35 will join and head north. Take Interstates 80/35 around Des Moines. Then take Interstate 35 north to Ames.

Once in Ames take Highway 30 west (Exit 111B) and then take Duff Avenue or Highway 69 north (Exit 148). This will bring you to Lincoln Way and the Iowa State University campus.
