Interviews with Award Winners from the OAH Annual Meeting
The Organization American Historians sponsors or cosponsors more than twenty annual awards, prizes, fellowships, and grants, presented at the OAH Annual Meeting, to recognize scholarly and professional achievements in American history.
In a series of interviews from the 2010 OAH Annual Meeting, Michael Regoli talks with a few of the winners. He begins with William H. Chafe, winner of the Roy Rosenzweig Distinguished Service Award. Chafe, the Alice Mary Baldwin Professor at Duke University and a former OAH president, discusses the importance of service to the profession. Regoli also talks with Merle Curti Award winners Laura Dassow Walls of the University of South Carolina and Seth Rockman of Brown University; Lerner-Scott Prize winner Jessie B. Ramey of the University of Pittsburgh; and Binkley-Stephenson Award winner Volker Janssen of California State University, Fullerton.
