OAH Partners with The Versatile PhD
The OAH is pleased to announce its newest benefit for members, access to premium content at The Versatile PhD (VPhD). Established in 1999, the VPhD is a Web-based resource for graduate students, ABDs, PhDs, and postdoctoral fellows interested in exploring nonacademic careers. Through this new OAH member benefit, the Versatile PhD provides you with:
- a vibrant community where you can participate in online discussions;
- career resources such as model resumes, curriculum vitae, and cover letters in the humanities and social sciences; and
- premium content such as:
- hiring success stories from PhDs and ABDs on their nonacademic career paths;
- archives of panel discussions with PhDs working in nonacademic fields; and
- panel discussions on topics such as careers in secondary teaching, university administration, law, and higher education consulting.
To access the VPhD site, connect to the OAH Online Member Services page. From there, select "My Benefits" at the top, then choose the Versatile PhD link to register and create your personal, and confidential account.
