Seminar for Historical Administration

The Seminar for Historical Administration (SHA) is the longest-running professional development seminar in the country. For over fifty years, the SHA has provided an intensive residential professional development experience for history professionals. The seminar is specifically targeted to full-time, paid staff of history institutions with a minimum of three years of challenging work experience in the history field and who are now in a position of administrative responsibility or are preparing for such a position.

The program employs case studies, workshops, forums, and field trips to present and engage the best practices and ideas of history organization leadership and management.

The 2010 SHA will be held from October 30 to November 20 at the Indiana Historical Society in Indianapolis, Indiana. For more details or to apply, visit http://www.aaslh.org/histadmin. Deadline for applications is May 17, 2010.
