Two OAH Members to be Recognized as 2015 National Women's History Month Honorees
Dr. Darlene Clark Hine and Professor Vicki L. Ruiz will be recognized as 2015 National Women's History Month Honorees by the National Women's History Project. Dr. Hine is a pioneering scholar in the field of African American women's history. Professor Ruiz is a historian of 20th century U.S. history specializing in Chicana/Chicano studies, Latina history, oral narratives, gender studies, and labor history. From the National Women's History Project website, "The 2015 (NWHM) Honorees were chosen for their pioneering leadership and accomplishments in researching and sharing the details of women's lives. Their achievements -- individually and collectively -- have been essential in weaving the amazing and courageous stories of women's lives into the colorful fabric of our nation's history."
