OAH NewsletterPublished quarterly, the OAH Newsletter includes articles on current developments in the profession, interviews, special features, and timely news about the activities of the organization. Advertisements include American history books, products, and services; fellowship and grant opportunities; meetings and happenings of other organizations; special announcements; calls for papers; and Professional Opportunities. The print version circulates to all OAH individual and institution members and the online version is available to the public.

Artwork: There is a 20% dot gain on press (images become more saturated), therefore large areas of black are problematic, so design the artwork accordingly. Artwork files should arrive as uncompressed press-ready Adobe PDF files. If this is not possible, contact the OAH Advertising Manager to discuss alternatives. Art may be sent by email attachment to <advertise at oah dot org> if the file does not exceed 10MB. If over, mail artwork on a CD-ROM to the address below or upon request a Web address can be created for uploading the file.
Image resolution: No less than 300 dpi
Color: Artwork files and linked images must be black-and-white/gray-scale. "Rich black" (a build of CMYK inks) cannot be used.

Printing method: Web offset
Frequency rates: Advertisers with contracts may purchase additional pages at the consecutive rate. Failure to fulfill contract will result in short-rate billing for all unearned discounts.
Discounts: 15% ad agency commission discounts are available to advertisers who use professionally recognized ad agencies for reservations. In-house agencies and freelance designers do not qualify.
Ad Preparation Costs: If you need design/layout assistance, you will be billed $50 per item or hour.
