Talking History on Demand

Bryan Le Beau, Host

From the first week Talking History was on the air, listeners have voiced their disappointment that it aired only once a week. If you were not able to listen to the program at its slotted time or did not live in an area where the local public radio stations carried Talking History, you were out of luck. Fortunately, we created an archive of every show at <http://talkinghistory.oah.org>. Now we have another opportunity for our listeners--&opendouble;Talking History on Demand.&closedouble;

Kansas City&closesingle;s KCUR-FM now posts the two most current programs at <http://www.kcur.org>. You can go there anytime, click on &opendouble;Programs&closedouble; and then on &opendouble;On Line Programming/Talking History&closedouble; and listen to the show any time.

We have more interesting shows coming up on Talking History. In May and June look for interviews on Jesse James, roller coasters, Buffalo Soldiers, hoaxes, Ben Franklin, and &opendouble;How Wars Are Won.&closedouble; And in July we will have our first &opendouble;Best of Talking History&closedouble; offering some of our most popular shows from the past few years.

Keep plugging Talking History at your local public radio station. Listener recommendation are far more effective than national contacts.
