Du Bois-Franklin Award
The OAH is pleased to announce that the Civil War and Reconstruction book award will be renamed the Du Bois-Franklin Award, paying tribute to the legacies of W.E.B. Du Bois and John Hope Franklin, two influential figures who made significant contributions to this scholarship.
By supporting the Du Bois-Franklin Book Award Fund, you directly contribute to the advancement of research and knowledge in this important area of historical study. Your donation helps us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000 to officially rename the prize and to continue to annually recognize and honor exceptional authors whose work sheds new light on the complexities of the Civil War era and its aftermath.
