OAH Statement on Dissertation Embargoes

At its fall meeting in November 2013, the OAH Executive Board discussed the issue of extending embargoes on newly-completed PhD dissertations. Such embargoes withhold dissertations from print or digital circulation for a predetermined period of time, usually no more than five or six years.  Read the full statement.
