The David Center for the American Revolution at the American Philosophical Society's Library & Museum in Philadelphia invites applications for predoctoral and short-term resident research fellowships for 2022–2023. These funding opportunities provide support to scholars in all fields writing dissertations, academic articles, papers, and books about the American Revolution and Founding Era who show a demonstrated need to use David Center materials for their projects.

  • David Center for the American Revolution Predoctoral Fellowship (Deadline: January 28, 2022)

  • Swan Foundation Short-Term Resident Research Fellowship for Revolutionary-Era Material Culture (Deadline: March 4, 2022)

    This fellowship provides one month of support to work in the artifact collections of the Swan Historical Foundation, the American Philosophical Society’s Library & Museum, and other repositories in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
