BMRC 2022 Summer Short-Term Fellowship Program
The Black Metropolis Research Consortium (BMRC) has launched a search for the next cohort for our 2022 Summer Short-Term Fellowship Program. Our program is a one-month, Chicago-based, research fellowship that aims to provide an opportunity for scholars, artists, writers, and public historians who are committed to and currently engaged in research that brings to the forefront the African American experiences of Black Chicagoans. During their stay in Chicago, fellows will draw on the rich archival collections of our BMRC member institutions.
With the intent to notify awardees in March of 2022, we invite applications starting on November 8, 2021 with a deadline of January 7, 2022. You will find an overview of the program on our BMRC Summer Short-Term Fellowship Program web page. Eligibility criteria, instructions and specific requirements for applying for the fellowship are detailed on our How to Apply (application process) web page.
