Susan M. Hartmann
Susan M. Hartmann is an Arts and Humanities Distinguished Professor of History Emerita at Ohio State University and has published extensively on women in the twentieth century, feminism, and women's rights movements. Among her books are The Home Front and Beyond: American Women in the 1940s (1983); From Margin to Mainstream: American Women and Politics since the 1960s (1989); The Other Feminists (1998), a study of women's rights activism in the 1960s and 1970s; and a textbook, The American Promise (7th edition, 2017). She is an elected a fellow of the Society of American Historians and has lectured for the State Department in Australia, Austria, Germany, Greece, Nepal, and New Zealand.
