Thursday, April 2, 2020, 12:45 PM - 2:15 PM
Type: Roundtable Discussion
Abstract
This roundtable of scholars examines the “open secret” of sexual harassment in academia from a variety of angles. Composed of scholars who study sexual harassment and sexual assault in academia, and activist historians, the roundtable will continue dialogue from OAH 2019’s #AcademicMeToo panel. Roundtable panelists will discuss their experiences, research findings, the long-reaching effects of sexual harassment, and move toward plans of action. This roundtable will also feature technology that allows for real-time polling and interaction with audience members.
