Virtual Conference FAQs
The below information is presented to help you navigate the 2021 OAH Annual Meeting in the new virtual venue. If you have any questions please contact us at meetings@oah.org.
The conference takes place on a web-based platform - Virtual Event Place.
All live sessions and workshops will occur in the Zoom platform so you will need to ensure you have downloaded the Zoom Client.
All chat features will occur within the web-based platform so no additional downloads are needed for this feature.
We strongly reccommend using a laptop or desktop computer as some features may not be available on handhelp devices.
All times are published in Eastern Time. The conference platform will also display your local time in red next to the published times.
All sessions that required registration will be accessible from the OAH User Portal here.
Once on that page, all the workshops you registered for will be listed with their Zoom login information.
If someone is inappropriate in chat or if you are contacted unwantedly you may ignore the individual, and if neccessary download a transcript of the inappropriate behavior.
1. Select the gear icon
2. The click the green "Export transcript' or "Ignore" button. Please note: the ignore is unfortunately not site-wide. So once you leave the page you may have to ignore the individual again. If harassment takes place please report the incident.
If someone is being inappropriate in a session:
- Please contact the OAH staff member or volunteer in the room.
- If you are not able to locate the person, or uncomfortable doing so, please report the incident
