World War II Writers' Weekend, Florida State University
The Institute on World War II and the Human Experience, Department of History, Florida State University and the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts will host the inaugural World War II Writers' Weekend on February 14-15, 2015 featuring talks and book signings by authors of a range of works on World War II. Speakers include Robert Gellately (Stalin's Curse), Michael Neiberg (The Blood of Free Men: The Liberation of Paris), Marcus Cox (Segregated Soldiers), Annika Culver (Glorify the Empire), and others. This free event is open to the general public and will take place at the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts in Tallahassee, Florida and coincide with the opening of an exhibit highlighting the extensive collections of documents and artifacts that are preserved by the Institute on World War II.
